User Management

I forgot my password and can’t log in.

Select “Forgot Password” on the login page, enter your email, and follow the instructions in the reset email. An account administrator may also request a reset for your profile under the Manager Users Settings. Review the page for additional information.

Doowii Responses

Doowii doesn’t seem to understand my question.

Try rephrasing your question with more specific details or keywords. Be clear with any filters (e.g., class, year) to help Doowii interpret your query accurately. Use follow-up questions to drill down into specific aspects of your data. To give feedback on a response click on the thumbs-up or thumbs-down button. The answer provided isn’t what I expected.

Ensure the data you’re querying is available in the platform. If it is, try refining your question or adding clarifying any needed filters. Review the Refining and Filtering Answers page for more tips.

The default chart is not what I need. How do I change it?

Based on the data returned, Doowii will generate a chart visualization for you. However, if that visualization isn't correct, you can modify it by selecting a different chart type. Review for additional information.

I’m unsure which follow-up questions to ask next.

Use the suggested follow-up questions provided by Doowii as a guide, or ask specific clarifying questions to focus on certain data points.

If unsure which follow-up questions to ask next, determine if you need a broad summary or specific details. For a high-level view, ask questions that summarize or compare trends, such as “How has enrollment changed over the past five years?” or “What is the success rate across departments this semester?” These provide an overview of key metrics.

For more detail, focus on specific breakdowns within the data. Ask questions like, “Show data by individual instructors” or “What are attendance rates for 9th graders in English courses?” These follow-up questions enable targeted analysis within the data.

Can I edit the SQL used in the data query?

Yes, users can edit the SQL by clicking on the <> button. Editing the SQL is an advanced technique, and Doowii will not allow invalid SQL to run. If there’s an error when attempting to save, you may cancel or select “Reset to original SQL” to revert to the original query.

Pins & Pinboards

I saved a pin, but I can’t find it in my Pinboard.

First, review the table or chart that was saved to a pinboard, and confirm that the pin was properly saved. Within the Thread history, each saved pin will display the name of the Pinboard to which it is saved. You may click on the name of the pinboard from the Thread view to go directly to the pinboard.

To view your pins, navigate to the Pinboard icon in the main menu. Pins are tagged with the Pinboard name for easy identification. Review Using Pinboards for more details.

I want to rename or delete a pin.

Go to the Pinboard, select the pin, and click on its options menu. Here, you can rename or delete the pin as needed. Review Using Pinboards for more details.
